GEOCE is continuously moving forward to diversify in other disciplines. Sagarmatha Power Company Pvt Ltd.

GEOCE is one of the promoters of Sagarmatha Power Company (P) Ltd. The company was established in 1997 with objective to develop hydropower by private sector participation. The company has been granted survey license to for 50 MW Upper Marsyangdi “A” (UM-0) Hydroelectric Project. GEOCE has carried out the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies of the project. The power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project has been signed with Nepal Electricity Authority. The project is going to be implemented soon in joint venture with Sino Hydro Corporation Limited, China.

National Information Technology Institute Pvt. Ltd.

GEOCE is a partner of National Information Technology Institute Pvt. Ltd. (NITI), which is an information technology (IT) company dedicated to providing IT and geographic information solutions in Nepal and in overseas countries. NITI provides training, software and system solutions in the areas of Geo Information Systems (GIS), digital mapping, automated mapping/facilities management, digital and aerial photogrammetry, remote sensing, and institutional strengthening and capacity building in geoinformatics applications and research. NITI has state-of-the-art computer laboratories and one of the largest and most sophisticated map data conversion facilities in Nepal. Among its various activities, NITI is carrying out maps digitization of cities in Japan since 2002.

Pashupati Energy Development Co. (P) Ltd.

GEOCE is one of the promoters of Pashupati Energy Development Co. (P) Ltd. [PEDC]. The company was established in 2001 with the objective of developing energy from various sources like hydropower, solar, wind, thermal. PEDC provides services for planning, design, implementation, O&M of hydropower and other energy projects. This company is developing a 8 MW hydropower project mobilizing local resources.
