Detailed Engineering Design and IEE Study of Jugeda Budhi Ganga Hydropower Project

The consulting project was awarded to Joint Venture of GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd in joint venture with Technoquarry and NEDC in association with Beam on July 23, 2019. The objective of this project is to carry out detailed engineering design and IEE study of 20.16 MW hydropower project in Bajura District of Province No 7. The project duration is 30 months, and it will commence from August, 2019. The Client is Department of Electricity Development, Government of Nepal.

Environmental & Social Management Service Provider, Tanahun Hydropower Project

This consultancy project was awarded to ELC Electroconsult S.p.A, Italy in association with GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd on May 20, 2019. The project was commenced from July 1, 2019. The objective of this consultancy is to assist the client to implement environmental and social safeguard measures related to the project and its 34 km, 220 kV transmission line project and associated rural development components in the form of the Rural Electrification Program and the Community Development Program. Tanahun Hydropower Project is 140 MW reservoir project with a live storage volume of 192.8×106 cubic meters. The project duration is 5 years and funded by Asian Development Bank. The Client is Tanahun Hydropower Limited.

Detailed Engineering Design & Preparation of Bidding Documents of Lower Seti (Tanahun) Hydropower Project (Grant No 0361-NEP: Project Preparatory Facility for Energy)

This consulting project was awarded to Joint Venture of WAPCOS Ltd, India and Nippon Koei Ltd, Japan in association with Total Management Services (P) Ltd and GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd in March 24, 2019. The project was commenced from May 15, 2019. The overall objective of the consulting service is to carry out the Detail Engineering Design and prepare bidding documents inclusive of tender drawings and construction plan of 104 MW project. The project duration is 20 months and it is funded by Asian Development Bank. The Client is Tanahun Hydropower Project

ADB TA 9457 NEP, Institutional Strengthening of the Nepal Rural Road Sector for Sustainable Development, Consulting Services (48218-003)

The project was awarded to Sheladia Associates, Inc., USA in association with GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd and SILT Consultants (P) Ltd on November 13, 2018. The project was commenced from January 1, 2019. The main objective of the consulting services is to support the Government of Nepal through Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration in improving sector management by implementing institutional development initiatives. The focus of TA will be to redefine and restructure the Department of Local Infrastructure (DOLI) (formerly Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DOLIDAR)) to a state-of-the art rural road agency; and implement new business procedures covering (procurement and contracting processes, planning processes, quality assurance systems, and engineering -pavement design, road maintenance and road safety) and provide training to DOLI, Provincial and Local Level officials for management of roads. The project duration is 12 months.

Land Transport Master Plan of State 1

The project was awarded to GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd – AVIYAAN Consulting Pvt Ltd JV on August 31, 2018 by Local Roads Bridge Program funded by SDC. The project was focused on the road network identification and classification in Province 1. The study also identified the investment requirement and presented various scenario of investment with variable planning horizon. The outcome of the study will provide impetus for further planning and to refine the road network master plan. The project was completed on January 31, 2019.

Improving the Resilience of Nepal’s Strategic Roads Network

The project was awarded to ICEM-GEOCE JV on May 22, 2018 by World Bank. The scope of services include to assess and advise on the future climate and seismic risk to road investments in Nepal – through the application of climate and seismic vulnerability assessment of specified roads (some 750 km and 86 bridges, comprising Chinchu-Jajarkot, Khodpe-Chainpur, Satbanj-Darchula, Satbanj-Tripurasundari, Sitalpati-Musikot, Surkhet-Jumla, Talldungeshwor-Dailekh and Narayanghat-Mugling under the WB funded RSDP and NIRTTP) and identify the highest impact or hot spot areas; apply a landscape approach to planning; propose risk mitigation activities to demonstrate a systematic approach to risk assessment and mitigation of roads for the Department of Roads to apply to other sections of the Strategic Road Network and specific road sector projects.
